Hilton Worldwide today announced the signing of a new hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia: The Hollis Halifax – A DoubleTree Suites by Hilton. The 120-room all-suite hotel, formerly a Radisson Suite Hotel, is currently undergoing renovation and is expected to be fully converted by early September.

Earlier this year, Hilton Worldwide celebrated its 100th hotel opening in Canada and has nearly 40 more hotels in the pipeline. DoubleTree by Hilton operates 380 hotels worldwide, with six hotels open in Canada.

The 10-story hotel will be owned and operated by Magna Hotels, Inc. It is the first DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Nova Scotia and will join several Hilton Worldwide hotels in Halifax, including the recently opened dual-build Hampton Inn by Hilton and Homewood Suites by Hilton Halifax-Downtown.
Centrally located in the heart of Halifax, The Hollis Halifax is within walking distance of the city's waterfront and many downtown attractions, dining and shopping. Guests can easily access popular attractions such as the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site and Pier 21.

Once converted, guests of The Hollis Halifax will be greeted with DoubleTree's signature warm chocolate chip cookie and treated to the brand's globally-recognized CARE culture, which stands for "Create A Rewarding Experience" and represents the brand's commitment to guests, team members and the local community. Each of the oversized suites will offer complimentary Wi-Fi, a 42-inch HDTV, a spacious desk, a wet bar, a microwave and a mini-refrigerator.The hotel will feature an indoor heated pool and whirlpool, state-of-the-art fitness center, business center, complimentary high-speed Internet access throughout and 3,500 sq. ft. of meeting and event space. The award-winning Duffy's Steakhouse and Seafood restaurant will be available on site, and a variety of meals and snacks will be available through the hotel's in-room dining options.
