Atlanta-based Hotel Equities (www.hotelequities.com) recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand re-opening of the fully renovated 96-room Courtyard by Marriott Memphis East in Memphis, Tennessee. The hotel recently completed a comprehensive renovation and a significant profit improvement plan that exceeded Marriott's expectations and has yielded an incredible increase in revenues and profitability almost immediately.

Located off I-240 and Bill Morris Parkway (I-385) and just minutes from Poplar Avenue in Germantown, the hotel appeals to both business and leisure travelers. It is convenient to the city's finest dining, tourist attractions, shopping and Class A office space for corporate travelers.

"Memphis is an exciting city for Hotel Equities' expansion and we have seen very strong increases across the board upon the completion of the renovation," said Joe Reardon, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for HE. "We are excited to provide the owner with such great results and will continue to optimize opportunities and add value to this well-positioned, newly-renovated hotel. We are delighted to work with an owner who has such an entrepreneurial vision and commitment to a great hotel."

The hotel upgraded to Marriott's latest Courtyard Generation 4 room package that boasts 42 inch televisions, working desk units for the business traveler and the Bistro concept in the lobby. The pool area offers a socially-induced array of new amenities including a fire pit where guests can relax, unwind and order dinner and drinks.

The hotel features a choice of king and double rooms, suites and spa suites in a business-friendly corridor of Memphis near the Fed Ex Worldwide Headquarters. All guests enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, a 24-hour business center and the outdoor pool, whirlpool and fitness room. The newly-renovated meeting space is perfect for reception-style gatherings as well as corporate meetings. The newly-appointed Bistro offers delicious dining options as well as beverages from Starbucks and a full bar.

"Hotel Equities has proven that they are the market leaders when it comes to third party hospitality management," said Jay Batra, owner of the Courtyard by Marriott Memphis East. "For me, it's a slam dunk partnership because I can see the effort and strategic planning from a team whose members are even more engaged and anxious than I am to make this project successful. Without a doubt, Hotel Equities will be my partner in my future ventures."
