Service Management Systems (SMS), a leading provider of maintenance and housekeeping services nationwide, announced today a partnership with Fairway GPO, a New Jersey group purchasing organization (GPO) specializing in hospitality and property management, to launch a managed housekeeping and maintenance offering to the hospitality market.

SMS Hospitality, a division of Service Management Systems, focuses on hotel and resort properties throughout the United States. SMS Hospitality's services will be offered to a wide range of properties through Fairway's national GPO network, which includes more than 60 hospitality customers. The service offering begins this fall.

According to Mike Wein, President of SMS, "We were looking to build upon our years of success in our established industries, including healthcare, retail and arena management, and hospitality was a natural extension of our service offering. Given Fairway's extensive portfolio in the hospitality vertical along with their mission of reducing costs without sacrificing quality, the decision to partner with Fairway to launch this offering was a simple one."

"Being able to provide our members with reduced costs, consistent service and a cleaner property was an essential element in our decision to join with SMS to launch this offering", said Isaac Farbowitz, Managing Partner at Fairway. "The synergies between our two organizations were evident from the very first meeting. We look forward to working with SMS for many years to come and to be able to offer a true value-added service to our members."

Fairway GPO is a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), headquartered in Hackensack, New Jersey. The company holds more than 2,000 contracts and has more than $45 billion in purchasing volume. More information is available at www.fairwaygpo.com
