Incentive Travel Exchange

NEW YORK (Jan. 8, 2015) ─ Michael Dominguez, senior vice president of hotel sales for MGM Resorts International, will be the keynote speaker at Questex Hospitality + Travel's 10th anniversary Incentive Travel Exchange (ITE) event, to be held March 18-21 at The Delano Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay.

The event, held in partnership with Site, brings together prequalified, top-producing buyers and global suppliers of incentive travel for prearranged meetings, high-caliber networking and educational opportunities. Suppliers will include cruise lines, tour operators, destination management companies and sought-after incentive destinations across the globe, including hotels, resorts and spas.

Dominguez (pictured right) provides oversight for MGM Resorts International hotel sales in Las Vegas and other global destinations. He is responsible for leisure and group sales, including 42,000 hotel rooms and three million square feet of meeting space.

"MGM Resorts International is one of the world's leading global hospitality companies, operating a portfolio of destination resort brands including Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay and The Mirage," said Danielle Cirami-Gillis, Questex's vice president of event sales. "Michael is a dynamic speaker whose depth of industry experience is sure to provide attendees with tremendous insights on sales performance."

Dominguez was recognized among the "Top 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry" by Successful Meetings magazine for the last two years; as a "meeting trendsetter" by Meetings Focus magazine and a "change maker" by MeetingsNet in 2014. In 2013 he was honored among HSMAI's "Top 25 Minds in Sales & Marketing" and as one of the "50 Most Influential Hispanics in the US" by Hispanic Business.

"It is a tremendous honor for me to speak at ITE's exclusive 10th anniversary event," said Dominguez. "The ITE culture, with its focused one-to-one meetings format, underscores the importance of building and maintaining customer relationships, which is critical to every successful sales strategy."

Dominguez is the immediate past chairman of Meeting Professionals International's board of directors. He serves on the executive committee of the U.S. Travel Association, the steering committee of its Meetings Mean Business Coalition, PCMA Issues and Trends Taskforce, ASAE Industry Partner Alliance and Starcite, Elite Meetings and Convene Green advisory boards.

Earlier in his career, Dominguez was vice president of global sales for Loews Hotels and vice president of sales and services for the Greater Palms Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau. He began his career with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in food and beverage.

The 2014 ITE program achieved record attendance and provided the more than 125 participating suppliers with thousands of one-on-one appointments with high-value travel advisors, according to Cirami-Gillis. "We look forward to making an even bigger splash in March as we celebrate our milestone 10th anniversary," she said.
