TabletArmor Tablet Enclosures Offer Maximum Security and Functionality
The TabletArmor tablet enclosure is unlike any other tablet enclosure or kiosk on the market and is changing the way the restaurant and hospitality industry uses tablets for both front- and back-of-house applications.
But such a demanding industry calls for more functionality than that at the highest level of defense against data breaches and product theft.
TabletArmor has added security features and a wider variety of peripherals (barcode scanner, magnetic strip reader, NFC reader, EMV/Chip and Pin reader, biometric fingerprint reader, receipt printer and keyboard) available with the ability to attach up to four at a time directly to the device – adding, subtracting or moving them depending on the application or need.
"Using consumer tablets for business applications has challenges," said John Weldon, Founder of TabletArmor. "For establishments that accept payments and collect personal information from customers, data security is a primary concern."
TabletArmor's patent-pending peripherals are hardware encrypted, meaning the moment a credit card is swiped or pin entered that data is encrypted and communicated to the application on the device as a secure code, rather than transmitting raw, exposed data to the application for encryption. These hardware-encrypted peripherals are PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliant and close the gap that would otherwise leave sensitive customer data vulnerable to hackers and thieves.
TabletArmor also has done extensive design modifications to offer maximum security against tablet theft. With tough ABS plastic casing and a rugged metal faceplate, TabletArmor is virtually unbreakable.
Each peripheral is fastened with screws from inside the enclosure and cannot be tampered with or removed without first opening the case. The case itself has a 7-pin brass lock with user-unique key, and the faceplate has a multiple-point locking system to keep it in place. All mounts and poles are made of steel with reinforced welds to ensure durability.
"You can break into the competitors' enclosures, but not ours," Weldon said.
TabletArmor is compatible with most Android, Windows and Apple tablets and can be purchased as a bundle. It comes in white or black. Custom colors and branding is available upon request.
