Hotel Investment Conference Europe (Hot.E) Announces Hall of Fame Award Recipient, Petter Anker Stordalen

The Hot.E Hall of Fame Award was established to recognize an investor, developer, or hotel leader whose career has had a profound and positive impact on the European hotel industry. The honoree is someone recognized for his or her business success, intellectual leadership, and personal dedication to maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards.
Petter Anker Stordalen is a Norwegian investor, hotel "tycoon", property developer, and a self-proclaimed environmentalist. Stordalen is the owner and CEO of Home Invest, chairman of the board of Nordic Choice Hotels and Home Properties, and board member of Home Capital and The Stordalen Foundation.
Stordalen's private company, Nordic Choice Hotels, owns 179 hotels in the Nordic and Baltic regions. He has taken his Norwegian hard work ethic to astonishing heights. In 15 years, starting with two hotels and 350 employees, Mr. Stordalen has built the largest hotel company in Scandinavia. Currently, Nordic Choice Hotels has 13,000 employees, five hotel chains, fourteen brands, a collection of independent hotels and resorts, 179 hotels, and a yearly turnover of approximately $1 billion USD.
