The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International's Washington DC Chapter has announced the appointment of new advisory board members, including representatives of the region's top hotel companies.

The board is chaired by Cathy Bokman, B.F. Saul Company Hospitality Group vice president of sales, supported by Ellen Wilson of EWI Consulting, managing director.

The chapter's mission is to provide area hotel sales, marketing and revenue management professionals and their partners with the tools, insights and expertise to drive revenue, Bokman said, adding that the advisory board is responsible for creating educational programs designed to help achieve that objective.

Other board members include Sarah Bartlett, HotelAVE vice president of revenue management; Handan Bas-Bailey, InterContinental Hotels Group regional sales & marketing director; Tomiko Burroughs, Expedia Inc. market manager for Washington; Iman Butler, director of sales & marketing for The Ritz-Carlton, Tyson's Corner; and Noreen Collins, Choice Hotels International manager of revenue management.

Also, Jennifer Hill, director of revenue & distribution for the Hyatt Arlington; Jon Lockwood, Marriott International market sales leader; Tara Miller, Capitol Services Inc. business development manager; Tonia Noonan, Sunburst Hospitality Group vice president of sales & marketing; Mike Parent, Coakley & Williams Hotel Management Company vice president of sales & marketing; and Rich Roberts, president of RDR PR LLC.

"Our volunteer advisory board members are highly experienced hotel professionals who are committed to establishing the chapter as valued resource to the greater Washington area's hotel community," said Fran Brasseux, HSMAI executive vice president. "The new board already has launched monthly educational programs and actively is recruiting new chapter members."
