Bangkok, Thailand -- The growing importance of digital in the travel and tourism industry in Asia has motivated a few existing events to band together to form the "Digital Travel Exchange Asia". The focus is on all things Digital with an exciting line up of events, all with truly useful information, best practice, strategies and trends, and all presented by experts. DTE Asia is a new line up of events for the travel, hospitality and tourism industries in Asia Pacific. The events run from Monday 16th November until Wednesday 18th November, 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand.

HSMAI Asia Pacific, the authoritative body of the hospitality sales and marketing industry, as well as Digital Innovation Asia, the organizer of innovative events such as the Digital Innovation Asia Awards, Blogger Matchup, and E-Tourism Asia/China Boot Camps have partnered to collaborate in organizing educational events in the region. Digi.travel, a European digital conference and marketplace organized by Travel Media Applications, has been appointed by the PATA Thailand Chapter to organize a digital conference in Bangkok, and joins the partnership. "We have organised an exciting line-up of senior level speakers who work in the industry and are willing to share their strategies and tactics with the industry across 3 days of events. This will be a meeting place to learn more about Digital Marketing, network with colleagues, and have some fun too" says Jackie Douglas, President of HSMAI Asia Pacific. "We have assembled a wonderful group of senior leaders in Hospitality and Travel, who are carefully planning presentations around your needs," she adds.
"Working together and combining the events will make it easier for the travel and tourism industry to find time in very busy times, however keeping up to speed with developments of new technology trends and consumer behaviour is key to stay competitive, both as an individual, as well as a company," says Jens Thraenhart, founder of Digital Innovation Asia, and current Executive Director of the Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office. "The Greater Mekong Region is rapidly growing, and digital capacity building is crucial for the travel and tourism industry in this part of the world", he continues.

Topics range from online distribution, reputation management, as well as digital advertising to new emerging areas of social influencer marketing, sharing economy, and China as a source market. "We will give travel and hospitality companies from big global brands, to small local companies, the opportunity to connect with travel tech companies from digital agencies to mobile app developers and digital media platforms", says Theodore Koumelis, the CEO of Travel Daily News, the organizer of Digi.travel, which is bringing this successful concept from Europe to Asia. "In a world where companies need to manage budgets and find the right tools to connect with consumers, it can be challenging to find the right digital and technology partners. The Digital Travel Exchange will bridge that gap", he adds. Sponsorship opportunities for digital and travel tech companies are affordable and still available, and include exhibition space, and appointment setting.

Digital Innovation Asia is presenting the 3rd Annual DIA Awards in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Travel Massive, recognizing the most innovative people, and companies, and campaigns in our industry today at a fun party.
