Manager Named for Holiday Inn Express Hotel on Staten Island
He previously served M&R Hotel Management as assistant general manager of the Holiday Inn NYC – Lower East Side, where he started as front office director in 2013.
Prior to joining M&R, Lugaro was assistant general manager of the Holiday Inn Express Madison Square Garden from 2011-2012 and front office manager at the Hampton Inn Times Square South from 2010-201l. Earlier in his career, he held similar positions at Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn hotels in New York and Savannah, Georgia.
Lugaro earned a bachelor's degree in business from Pontifical Catholic University in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and a certification in property management systems from Hilton Worldwide. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

The Holiday Inn Express Staten Island West features king, queen and double rooms, 24-hour fitness and business centers and meeting space. Complimentary amenities include Express Start hot breakfast, Wi-Fi throughout the building, bottled water and daily newspaper.
The hotel is adjacent to the 103-room Holiday Inn Staten Island the 93-room Comfort Inn on Wild Avenue, both also managed by M&R. All three are preferred hotels of the Staten Island Yankees baseball team, the Single A-short season affiliate of the New York Yankees.
M&R Hotel Management also operates four hotels in Manhattan, six in Queens and one each in Roslyn, New York, the Boston suburb of Braintree, Massachusetts, and the Caribbean island of Dominica.
