Chicago – When Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants opens its fifth four-star boutique hotel in Chicago, The Gray Hotel, in June, it will introduce a fresh approach to the city's financial district. The 293-room, multi-million dollar project is designed like a perfectly fitted suit from Saville Row translating to the lux modern feel of the hotel, formerly the landmark New York Life Insurance building, combining Chicago's rich history with a contemporary edge. Hallmarked by playful design elements and experiences grounded in local discoveries, guests are invited to enjoy some of Chicago's fashion, fitness, and cultural treasures.

Bringing to life the hotel's unique personality and style, The Gray Hotel has teamed up with local fashion label, The Tie Bar, a Chicago-based tie and accessory purveyor that creates high quality items at an accessible price, to host a closet mini bar in each guest room. The Tie Bar Closet Bar will provide accessory options for travelers who forgot to pack an item, are looking to add something new to their wardrobe, or simply want to bring home a keepsake from their trip. Selections include a signature tie, lapel flower pin, and pocket square.

Furthering Kimpton's commitment to wellness, the hotel has teamed up with local Chicago fitness brand Iron & Oar to offer specialized workout classes that both guests and locals can enjoy. Located in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, the high intensity, low impact workout is one of the city's newest fitness obsessions and will soon be available to guests and downtown locals at The Gray Hotel this summer. The classes will consist of both dynamic sculpting exercises and rowing so one can work out at the hotel without having to brave the cold Lake Michigan waters.

The hotel will also offer unique programs with local fitness powerhouse Nate Forse of Forse Lifestyle Coaching. Instead of focusing on strictly the body, Forse Lifestyle Coaching trains the person as a whole encompassing mind, body, and spirit. Both Iron & Oar and Nate Forse will host weekly classes beginning in mid-July.
