Hannover – The new hotel brand TUI Blue is expanding its portfolio. Following the launch of the first two hotels in Turkey in May, two further hotels will follow before the end of the year, with one TUI Blue hotel to open in Schladming in Austria in November, followed by the launch of a further hotel on Fleesensee in Germany. To this end, TUI is investing in the repositioning of two existing hotels: the aqi Hotel Schladming and Iberotel Fleesensee. In addition, a further TUI Blue hotel in the five-star segment is under construction in Castelfalfi in Tuscany, expected to open in the spring of 2017. "By expanding to the land-based destinations Austria, Germany and Italy, we are demonstrating that our concept also works in the mountains or on the sea. I am delighted that we will be able to tap further attractive and popular locations for TUI Blue with our new resorts," said Artur Gerber, Managing Director TUI Blue.

The TUI Blue Hotel in Schladming caters, in particular, for active and nature-loving couples, singles and groups. It features a unique location for winter sports enthusiasts right on the World Championship Park Planai, only a few steps from the cable car valley station. As a new TUI Blue hotel, it will become a modern hotspot for outdoor activities such as mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding and hiking.

The TUI Blue Hotel on Fleesensee is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District, right by Lake Fleesensee. It forms part of "Hotels & Sportresort Fleesensee" – only an hour's drive from Berlin. Wellness holidaymakers, in particular, will benefit from the Blue Spa. Blue Guides will be available in both hotels to give guests insider tips for excursions in the region, creating authentic holiday experiences.
