BARCELONA -- The Majestic Hotel Group proudly announces the opening of Midmost Hotel Barcelona. Meaning, "in the exact center," Midmost is centrally positioned in the city's "Golden Triangle," between Plaza Catalunya and Plaza Universitat. Under five-minutes from Las Ramblas, the hotel's location speaks to Barcelona's modern culture with nearby health-conscious restaurants, art galleries, and contemporary museums. Embracing the values of the eclectic neighborhood, modern simplicity and vintage style go hand in hand to create a hotel with a distinctive personality, in tune with the guests who stay there. In addition to a terrace bar and rooftop pool, the boutique property comprises 56 rooms and suites with rates beginning at $189 USD per night.

Housed within a nearly 100-year old building, the Midmost Hotel stands squarely at the intersection of old and new. Historical elements such as the 1919 façade and an original iron staircase were preserved in the design process, while new touches like an industrial-style front door and custom light fixtures provide modern sophistication. A nod to the property's Mediterranean locale, the interior color scheme is predominantly white and blue, accented by golden tones and bathroom floors lined with Catalan tiles.

The Midmost rooftop offers a backyard-feel with lush tropical plants, terrace beds, wood benches, and comfortable seating areas. From its central location, Midmost Hotel offers guests a unique vantage point that includes views of both the Montjuïc Mountains as well as the popular Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya.

Health and wellness play a vital role in the Midmost Hotel experience. The culinary programming is led by nutritional educator and holistic therapist Martina Wastl. Her philosophy is rooted in the concept of conscientiousness, believing that food should nourish the body, soul, and planet. In addition to a selection of light bites on the rooftop, Midmost's main culinary offering comes in the form a daily buffet in The Breakfast Room. Divided into two sections, the menu includes traditional breakfast staples, along with Martina's health-conscious dishes where butter is replaced with ghee (commonly used in Ayurvedic medicine), eggs are strictly free-range, and marmalades are made with local, organic produce.

Owned by the Majestic Hotel Group, Midmost Hotel Barcelona enjoys the benefits of nearly 100 years of experience shared by its sister property Majestic Hotel and Spa Barcelona.
