"Today's groundbreaking serves as a yet another example of what a public-private approach to redevelopment can stimulate through imagination, execution, and teamwork." Said Scott Yauck of Cobalt Partners. He shared an update on the White Stone Station redevelopment stating "From where we stand, you can see the new Costco store; a 91,000 SF retail building housing Ulta, HomeGoods, Ross, and two tenants to be announced shortly; 318 high-end apartments offering great amenities and conveniences to its residents. In addition, several new buildings are currently being planned and will bring additional restaurants and amenities to the Village in 2017."

According to Bruce Kinseth, Executive Vice President of Kinseth Hospitality Companies, "We are excited to get construction started on the Home2 Suites. With its convenient location just off Interstate 41, we feel that this Hilton hotel will provide the area with a first-class, medium-priced lodging facility for extended and leisure guests staying in Menomonee Falls."

After the ground was broken for the hotel, a tree was planted on the site representing the Home2 Suites dedication to sustainability and planting roots within the community. To bring the ceremony to a close Bruce Kinseth and Pauline Beck each placed a hand in cement to indicate the partnership of the Home2 Suites Menomonee Falls and the HOPE Network, for the "Your2 Hands™" program by Home2 Suites. The Your2 Hands program allows the hotel team members to select a local charity of their choice to support and help make a difference in their community. The Home2 Suites is scheduled to open in the fall of 2017 and will be managed by Kinseth Hospitality Companies.

When completed, the all suite extended stay hotel will provide guests with the amenities they need to enjoy life while traveling such as an outdoor walking trail, and saline pool.
