Room Mate Hotels to expand with new beachfront hotel destinations in 2017

Room Mate Hotels, the international boutique hotel chain founded and directed by Kike Sarasola, has announced the launch of a new line that will expand on the company's success as an urban-based hotelier: Room Mate Hotels in beach destinations. The new beach line is already taking shape, with projects under assessment that will add approximately 2,000 rooms in waterfront destinations to the chain's expanding portfolio.


This new project is another step by Room Mate Hotels to appeal to customers seeking affordable luxury, while further consolidating its growth. The Madrid-based chain is currently assessing projects and signing deals for beach destinations within Spain including Ibiza, Majorca, the Canary Islands, and Costa del Sol, as well as for international destinations such as Mexico. Room Mate Hotels plans to open its first beach hotel in the summer of 2017.

Meanwhile, the hotel chain expects to end this year with an occupancy rate above 87% and more than €70 million in turnover. The average room rate rose from €128.78 to €133.42 in 2016.

The new beachfront hotels will maintain Room Mate's commitment to offering guests hotels that feel like staying with friends. Customers will continue to enjoy the innovative services that Room Mate has created by listening to their feedback: breakfast until noon, free Wi-Fi in the hotel as well as throughout the city, excellent value for money, and exclusive decor created by the best designers.

The new beachfront hotels will also offer new features including a wide array of leisure alternatives, bars, restaurants, beach clubs, and rooftops, combined with innovative destination-inspired concepts that will make each vacation unforgettable.
