Barcelona, 8 March 2017- Grupo Hotusa will participate in ITB Berlin (Stand 318, Pavilion 9), in an effort to create new relationships with the principal companies of the sector who are also participating, as well as to show the importance of Germany in its plans for internationalisation. The organisation will also participate in the 20th edition of the Hotel Investment Forum, an annual meeting that brings together the principal investors of the hotel sector. In the setting of the ITB, which is in its 51st edition this year, the company will organise another addition of its "Passion Berlin" cocktail party, where more than 300 representatives from German society, business and tourism will enjoy a selection of Spanish specialties in the facilities of the Eurostars Berlin Luxury Class. This is the fourth year in a row that Grupo Hotusa has organised this event to encourage networking among guests and promote the "Spain" brand. Eurostars Hotel Company currently manages six establishments in Germany, in destinations including Berlin, Munich and Regensburg, through its Eurostars Hotels and Exe Hotels chains. Amancio López, CEO of Grupo Hotusa, confirms that "Germany is a key country in the growth of the company on the international level and for that reason we plan to increase our presence in other cities in the country through purchasing, renting, management or other mixed methods". Hotusa Hotels, the independent hotel chain and heart of the company, has also prioritised the German market, where they currently include 28 associated establishments. The largest hotel consortium in the world, according to the US magazine HOTELS, includes more than 2,700 associates, highlighted by its 380 incorporations found outside of Spain in 2016, which demonstrates the internationalisation process that the company is experiencing. Extensive hotel presence in Germany Eurostars Hotel Company, the hotel division of Grupo Hotusa, includes 6 hotels in Germany. The company began its expansion in this country in 2004, opening Eurostars Park Hotel Maximilian in Regensburg and the Regent Hotel in Munich. The company's big push in the country, however, came in 2008 when it invested 125 million euros to develop two hotels in Munich and a third in Berlin. In the Bavarian capital, the company opened the Eurostars Grand Central Hotel, with avant-garde design and modern facilities, and the Eurostars Book Hotel, an upscale establishment in the centre of Munich with a highly unique cultural flair. The company opened Eurostars Berlin in 2012, an emblematic hotel located on the city's most important shopping street, and Exe Klee Berlin in 2014, an establishment that stands out as a tribute to painter Paul Klee and for its avant-garde rooms.
