  • Jurys Inn introduces a 'Tug of War Duvet', a bespoke duvet that allows couples to stay together or pull apart with ease
  • Duvet trialled in wake of new research revealing that almost a third of Brits are losing sleep as a result of their partner stealing the duvet
  • Couples are losing an average of 1 hour 41 minutes of sleep a week due to their partner's annoying bedtime habits – this equates to over 3 days per year
  • One third of couples will consider sleeping in separate rooms to avoid their partner's annoying bedtime habits

United Kingdom – New research from Jurys Inn shows that Brits are getting increasingly frustrated after hours, with almost one-quarter (23.4%) of Brits admitting that their partner's annoying sleeping habits are the cause of many a bedtime argument. In response to these findings, the award winning hotel group have invented the perfect solution for their guests, the Tug of War Duvet.

Trialled for the very first time, the bespoke Tug of War Duvet is designed to be pulled apart should your other half try to steal your share of the duvet, and join back together should you wish to be close. The pull-apart seam down the middle cleverly prevents slack from occurring when your sleep partner tosses and turns, and ingeniously bonds back together should you wish to be close.

The development arrives in the wake of research[1] from Jurys Inn which revealed stealing the duvet (29.8%) and fidgeting (17.20%) are the biggest bedtime bugbears for couples.

Suzanne Cannon, Head of Marketing at Jurys Inn said, "We have many couples stay with us at Jurys Inn and we understand how important a good night's sleep is. We were shocked to find how many couples were experiencing such disturbed sleeping routines as a result of their partner's annoying bedtime habits, which is why we thought it necessary to step in and create the Tug of War Duvet.

We hope this new invention will help ensure couples staying with us at Jurys Inn will experience the comfort and quality of sleep they desire".
