DALLAS – G6 Hospitality today announced the retirement of Dean Savas, Executive Vice President of Franchise Development, effective September 30, following a successful tenure with the organization that spanned more than two decades.

An industry veteran for more than 45 years, Savas began his career with G6 Hospitality in 1992 as a Regional Vice President in Chicago, Illinois. In 1997, Savas was appointed Vice President of Development and moved to the company's headquarters in Dallas where he formulated the groundwork for the brand's franchising business and paved the way for its success. His dedication and strong relationships played an instrumental role in the brand's strategic development, including the expansion to more than 1,400 locations across the United States and Canada, as well as international markets such as India and Latin America.

"Dean has been a well-respected leader and esteemed peer since he joined the organization. His unwavering commitment and excitement for the growth of our brands will be missed among everyone who knew and worked with him," said Jim Amorosia, President and Chief Executive Officer of G6 Hospitality. "I've always admired his ability to balance both the needs of our franchise partners and the enterprise while developing robust relationships and win-win solutions. I'm confident that after 25 years, his passion and dedication has transferred to the entire franchise development group."

Savas came to G6 Hospitality with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having previously managed the development and operation of various mid-scale, economy and budget hotels. Since working with G6 Hospitality, Savas committed himself to carrying out the brand's mission to become the international leader in the economy segment, ensuring the success of new development initiatives as well as the rapid growth of its integral franchise business.

G6 Hospitality celebrates and honors an industry veteran and friend, Dean Savas, as he prepares to enjoy his retirement.

Following Savas' departure, Mike McGeehan has been promoted to the role of North American Development Officer, supporting the company's development strategy and programs. Mike will be reporting directly to Rob Palleschi, Chief Development Officer of G6 Hospitality, who will be responsible for leading the entire development organization, including the international expansion of the brands.
