Five countries in Southeast Asia have healthy project pipelines, including Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines
The Asia Pacific region is among the fastest growing for hotel properties in the world, with a number of countries having demonstrated significant project pipeline growth fueled by increased tourism in the region.
In fact, taking a specific look at Southeast Asia, one notices five countries with robust and healthy project pipelines, those countries being Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Indonesia is the regional leaders in terms of projects in its pipeline with 123, while Thailand has 87, Vietnam has 81, Malaysia has 78, and the Philippines has 40.
As tourism continues to boom in that area and project pipelines swell, it behooves the savvy hotel owner and operator to be well versed in some of the most notable projects in the area. With that in mind, let's take a look:
