The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International's Washington, D.C., chapter will host an interactive educational event, Developing and Presenting a Winning Business Case, Feb. 15 at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park hotel, with acclaimed business coach and trainer Bob Anderson demonstrating how to create an action plan that identifies and addresses crucial hurdle points that can derail a sale.

Anderson, president of Star Performance, also will discuss how to format a business case that connects both logical and emotion motivators, makes a business case standout from the competition, gains buy-in from internal customers and deals with common and expected customer pushback.

"Our members know Bob Anderson as a fun and interactive speaker who always provides new ideas that they can take back and integrate into their workplace," said Ellen Wilson, HSMAI Washington DC Chapter managing director.

Anderson's entertaining and upbeat presentation style has earned him rave reviews from many hospitality organizations. He was named one of HSMAI's Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Hospitality Sales, Marketing and Revenue Optimization in 2015.

Anderson has served as a hospitality industry business coach, results-driven trainer and business development consultant for more than 25 years. He presents a unique approach to sales and sales prospecting through his three systems, Building the Sales Pipeline, Building the Culture of Service and Point of Contact Reservations Selling.

Registration and a networking reception will begin at 4 p.m., followed by the program at 5 p.m. The event is free for HSMAI members and $60 for nonmembers. To register, click here. Parking at the
