CNN Travel asked Local Measure, a company that specializes in hotel guest experiences and real-time feedback, to pull the data from social media.

The analysts reviewed more than 200,000 Twitter, Instagram and Facebook posts regarding hotel beds across Asia, Europe and North America. Among the most talked-about on social media were Fairmont Hotels and Resorts and the InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, with travelers ranking firmness, spaciousness and cleanliness as the most important indicators of quality.
