What do you know about chatbots? The chances are that you may have heard about them, but are probably not sure about what exactly they are and what they do. To put it in its simplest terms, it is a computer program. An algorithm to be more specific.

But what chatbots are is nothing in comparison to all the things that they can do. They can chat with you, look up things for you, play your favorite song, set a timer, sell stuff to you and a whole lot of other things.

The Tj Maxx holiday chatbot is an ideal example. It’s designed to help people find the products that they’re looking for much more quickly - similar to an assistant in an actual physical store, the only difference is that chatbots can offer instant assistance.

In fact, if you use some kind of virtual assistant, you are already interacting with a chatbot. Siri was one of the first of this kind of chatbot way back in 2010. Since then we’ve welcomed quite a few new chatbots into the world. The latest virtual assistant being Google Home.

If you have an Amazon Echo system, you are already using Google Home. Incidentally, do you know what Amazon Echo is most commonly used for? Playing a song tops the list of most common uses. If you want to see what else clients use it for, check out our infographic below.
