The historical Grand Central Hotel, opened July 2018, is the largest and most expensively constructed hotel project in Northern Ireland. Part of the Hastings Hotels group the iconic Belfast property is now represented under the HO chain code on the GDS.

Situated at the heart of Belfast in the Linen quarter, the luxury 300-room Grand Central Hotel is a contemporary reincarnation of the historical Victorian hotel - with the same name - that once stood on Belfast's Royal Avenue from 1893 to 1979. Following an impressive £53 million investment by one of Northern Ireland's most prolific hotel groups, the new Grand Central is Hastings Hotels' latest venture. With over 30 years in business and seven luxury hotels across the province, Hastings Hotels have been a client of HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts since its inception, being in fact the first ever hotel group signed on the HO chain code.

Daniel Simmons, Chief Commercial Officer at HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts, said:

"We are delighted to welcome the amazing Hastings Grand Central to the HO chain code. We are long-standing partners of Hastings Hotels providing them with GDS representation for more than a decade. I was fortunate to visit the hotel earlier this year, together with our Director of Sales, and it is a beautiful property with lots of history and impressive facilities. It's already generating a lot of revenue, given not just its location but of course being one of the most iconic new hotels in Belfast and Northern Ireland."

Just one month after the opening Hastings Hotels have reported a rise in turnover by 7.8%, in the year ending October 31. Pre-tax profits also increased slightly from £4.9m to £5.2m, over the last 12 months.

Boasting impressive city views, two meeting rooms and two boardrooms as well as a spectacular reception suite, the new Belfast hotel is particularly suited for corporate travel, much like its neighbour sister-property, the legendary Europa Hotel. Other hotel facilities include a range of dining options one of which is a rooftop lounge, on the 23rd floor, the highest bar in all of Ireland.

The Grand Central Hotel is now available to book under the HO chain code on the Global Distribution System (GDS) (Amadeus HO BFSHGC / Galileo HO E8000 / Sabre HO 321975/ Worldspan HO BHDHG), online via the HotelREZ booking website and via the HotelREZ reservation call centre.
