The Hyatt Hotels Corporation is in the process of acquiring an international lifestyle hotel management company with a unique collection of properties including Ventana Big Sur, Carmel Valley Ranch and Monterey Tides.

Geolo Capital will sell its Two Roads Hospitality management company to Hyatt Hotels Corporation in a $480 million acquisition slated to be finalized by year's end. Under the terms of the transaction, all of Two Roads' hotel brands - Alila Hotels and Resorts, Destination Hotels, Joie de Vivre Hotels, Thompson Hotels and tommie - will join Hyatt's global portfolio.

Ventana Big Sur, an Alila Hotel, is about 35 miles south of Monterey off Highway 1. The resort resides within 243 acres of forests, has 59 recently renovated rooms including two guest houses, all equipped with luxury amenities. The property also offers 15 safari tents in Ventana's 20-acre canyon as part of the resort's glamping program. Ventana Big Sur also features Sur House restaurant and a luxury spa for guests.

Carmel Valley Ranch, a Joie de Vivre Hotel, is about 12 miles southeast of Monterey off Carmel Valley Road. It offers a 180-suite luxury resort on a 500-acre property that includes a 15,000-square-foot spa, a Peter Dye-designed golf course, tennis courts, equestrian center, and swimming pools.
