True North Hotel Group Solidifies Industry Reputation at Marriott CONNECT Conference with Pair of Significant Awards
Seventh Partnership Circle Award and Opening Hotel of the Year Award Presented at Marriott CONNECT Conference
- True North Hotel Group has for an unprecedented seventh time received Marriott International's highest owner/developer honor, the elite Partnership Circle Award. Of the 800-plus ownership groups representing Marriott's Select Brands, only the top three percent - roughly 26 - received the Partnership Circle Award for 2018.
True North Hotel Group was also proud to accept Marriott's Opening Hotel of the Year award for its Fairfield Inn & Suites Boston/Marlborough Apex Center hotel. This award is presented to just one new property per brand. Opened in late 2017, the winning Fairfield Inn is part of the Apex Center of New England, a 43-acre custom-designed destination with multiple state-of-the-art hospitality, business and entertainment experiences located in Marlborough, Mass. The hotel was co-developed by True North Hotel Group and RAVentures, Inc., developer of Apex Center.
"True North Hotel Group is extremely proud to accept these two outstanding honors from Marriott," said Brad Wiens. "The kudos belong to our 834 associates whose standards of excellence and passion for hospitality are what give True North Hotel Group our good name. Special recognition goes to Jessica Medina, general manager at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Boston/Marlborough Apex Center, whose stellar leadership and passion for service justifiably garnered this prestigious award."
Both awards were presented to True North Chairman and CEO Lew Wiens, President and Chief Operating Officer Richard Merkel, and Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer Brad Wiens at Marriott's CONNECT Conference, held recently in San Diego.
