You know, my followers always ask me how they can stay fit and healthy while they're traveling, and my biggest piece of advice is to just keep it simple! For me, this means two things: 1) try to cook when you can and 2) find ways to stay active; this is precisely why I always recommend staying in a suite like Embassy Suites by Hilton, Homewood Suites by Hilton or Home2 Suites by Hilton. Whenever you're staying in a suite, it's kind of like being at home - there's space for everything! If you want to cook your own meals, fully accessorized kitchens are available so you can whip something up. If you want to push the sofa back and do some yoga or jumping jacks, there's enough space to do that, too! It's so important to make sure you're comfortable when traveling.

The importance of space is something I didn't think about when I first started traveling, but now I do. The All Suites brands by Hilton - Embassy Suites by Hilton, Homewood Suites by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton - conducted this Power of Space Survey, which actually revealed that whenever we have more space we feel better mentally. Think about that as you travel, the last thing you want to do is feel cramped and stressed, because that's when you start making those unhealthy choices. Don't do it! Instead, opt for a place with space.

The same healthy meals that you cook in your own kitchen at home, you can actually whip up in your suite when you're staying in a place like Homewood Suites by Hilton. The brand actually offers a free grocery delivery service, where they'll go and shop for you while you're out and about. Just imagine being stressed after a long day and coming back to a suite with a fridge stocked with healthy foods. The hardest part…actually cooking! But that's a constant reminder that you're a healthy and fit-minded person.

When you're trying to maintain a fitness routine, keep the same principle. Just keep it simple, make a plan and stick to it. For me, that means taking the time to utilize the space in my suite and stretch, or if I'm feeling ambitious, use the property's on-site amenities like the fitness center or swim some laps in the pool. Also remember to start your day on the right foot by enjoying a free, healthy breakfast at the hotel. Having these options readily available for you makes staying healthy while traveling even easier.

Until next time, keep it healthy, but never, ever boring! For more information, you can visit www.HiltonBringIt.com, and you can follow me @FitMenCook.
