HVS Hodges Ward Elliott acts on sale of Lindner Hotel Gallery Central in Bratislava, Slovakia

Slovakia-based developer Immocap Group has sold the Lindner Hotel Gallery Central in Bratislava, Slovakia, to private Middle Eastern investors. The 222-room four-star hotel includes two restaurants as well as 240 sqm of meeting facilities. The property is part of Slovakia's first LEED certified project, and is at the centre of a major retail, office and leisure complex. HVS Hodges Ward Elliott acted as the seller's agent in this transaction.

Hilton Vienna am Stadtpark sold to Korean consortium for €333 million

A Korean securities consortium comprising Hana Financial Investment Co., NH Investment & Securities Co., and Meritz Securities Co. is acquiring the Hilton Vienna am Stadtpark for a reported €333 million (€575,000 per room) from Austrian real estate investment manager partners BETHA Zwerenz & Krause and APM Holding. The 579-room iconic property in the Austrian capital is set to undergo a comprehensive 12-month renovation for a reported €67 million. Hilton is reported to have renewed its lease agreement for 20 years with a further 10-year tenant renewal option.

AccorInvest acquires four hotels from Crédit Agricole and Amundi

AccorInvest has acquired a four-property portfolio from Crédit Agricole Assurances andAmundi Immobilier, who were two of the major investors in AccorInvest when AccorHotels sold 57.8% of AccorInvest in 2018. The 661-room portfolio comprises the 199-room Novotel Paris Centre Gare Montparnasse, the 163-room Sofitel Lisboa Liberdade in Lisbon, the 179-room Pullman Madrid Airport Feria and the 120-room Mercure Brussels Airport. Each hotel is to undergo renovation. AccorInvest was already the Lessee of the four assets under existing lease agreements it inherited when Accor spun-off its real estate arm to create AccorInvest in 2017.

Continuum Hotel Services acquires the Holiday Inn Express Bilbao from Castlebridge

Madrid-based hotel operator Continuum Hotel Services has acquired the 114-room Holiday Inn Express in Bilbao, Spain, from UK-based developer Castlebridge. The property, benefiting from excellent connectivity to Bilbao Airport, will continue to be operated by Continuum under a franchise agreement for IHG's Holiday Inn Express brand.

Patrizia acquires a hotel development in Lisbon

German commercial real estate investor Patrizia AG has acquired, on behalf of a German pension fund, the Tagus Square hotel development in Lisbon, Portugal from a private investor. The asset, located in the popular district of Cais do Sodré on Praça Duque da Terceira, will be converted into a luxury hotel with over 100 rooms. This acquisition reportedly brings Patrizia's total assets under management to close to €1 billion in the Iberian Peninsula.

Grand Tonic Hotel in Marseille sold to Vicartem

The Grand Tonic Hotel
in Marseille, France has been acquired by French hotel operator Vicartem for an undisclosed sum. The 56-room four-star hotel, located in Marseille's Old Port, is Vicartem's first acquisition outside of northeastern France. Vicartem, together with French furniture and home décor specialist Maisons du Monde, has recently opened the first Maisons Du Monde Hotel & Suite in Nantes. The group plans to continue its expansion under this brand.

Red Carnation acquires redevelopment site in Edinburgh

British luxury hotel owner and operator Red Carnation Hotels has acquired a private members club on 100 Princes Street in Edinburgh from the Royal Overseas League, that they will redevelop into a 30-room hotel. The newly acquired property, with views over Edinburgh Castle, will be Red Carnation's 19th hotel.
