The Austrian Hotelier Association (ÖHV) Partners With Hotelhero To Support Hotels In The Digitisation Process
Berlin, through the strategic partnership with the tech start-up Hotelhero, ÖHV supports its members in the search for suitable software systems through the new ÖHV marketplace on the Hotelhero platform
As a result of the digitalisation in the hotel industry, there is now a wide range of intelligent and digital solutions for hotels. From operational to distribution systems, the entire value chain of a hotel is connected via technical interfaces.
In a survey conducted by Roland Berger, ÖHV and IHA, some 600 hoteliers from Austria and Germany stated that digitization had been fully accepted in the industry, but that the search for the right systems was complex and time-consuming. A core statement of the study is the desire for more knowledge about digital solutions and more know-how about the market.
"The Austrian hotel industry is increasingly dealing with software solutions designed to make everyday operations easier. However, it is not easy to find the right solution due to the large range on offer. Finding the ideal tool costs the hotelier time, patience and nerves. Here it is the task of the Austrian Hotelier Association to actively support our members", says Dr. Markus Gratzer, Secretary General of the ÖHV. "Hotelhero centralises the search process and simplifies the technology selection for hotels. Hotels can register free of charge on the online platform and find the right systems for their business with just a few steps," explains Florian Montag, Managing Director and co-founder of Hotelhero. "Based on comparable hotels recommendations for systems are made, which are tailored to the needs, characteristics and interfaces to the current systems".
Hotelhero, developed in 2017 by Julien Schmit, Thibault Gence and Florian Montag on the basis of their experience in the international hotel industry, not only maintains most of the systems relevant in Austria in its database free of charge, but also covers the entire German-speaking and European market.
"Together with the technology search platform Hotelhero, we have been able to develop and implement the ÖHV marketplace in recent months. Thanks to the collaboration with Hotelhero, our members can now find the ideal solution in just a few steps and optimize their technology landscape," explains Dr. Markus Gratzer. Florian Montag is also pleased about the groundbreaking partnership: "As a young company, we rely on strong and future-oriented partners who share our vision of making the hotel technology market transparent and supporting hotels in making well-founded and safe investment decisions. We are therefore pleased to launch the ÖHV marketplace as a pilot project". Further partnerships are planned for the coming months, according to Montag.
