LONDON - Lifted by IDEX, Abu Dhabi's hotel industry reported its best performance since the start of the pandemic, according to preliminary February 2021 data from STR.

In addition to higher absolute levels, year-over-year comparisons were more favorable than previous months.

  • Occupancy: 65.4% (-15.4%)
  • Average daily rate (ADR): AED361.07 (-12.4%)
  • Revenue per available room (RevPAR): AED236.03 (-25.9%)

The International Defense Exhibition and Conference (21-25 February) brought more than 62,000 attendees across the five days. When looking at daily data, Abu Dhabi hotels saw their highest ADR (+50.5% to AED606.80) and RevPAR (+34.4% to AED446.57) levels for the month on the first day of the conference.
