French Polynesia, investors’ paradise ?
French Polynesia has developed into the ultimate South Pacific destination, perceived as a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ journey only affordable by a privileged few. Over recent years, inbound arrivals have stabilised around 210,000 visitors. Despite a lack of growth in visitation, the opening of seven resorts between 1999 and 2005 are proof that French Polynesia remains an attractive destination for developers.

Over recent years, inbound arrivals have stabilised around 210,000 visitors. Despite a lack of growth in visitation, the opening of seven resorts between 1999 and 2005 are proof that French Polynesia remains an attractive destination for developers. This enthusiasm is being stimulated by the French Polynesian Government, which is offering incentives to encourage further development.
