Accuvia Announces Organizational Changes

Potomac, MD | Accuvia, and its affiliated firms Accuvia Consulting, Accuvia Publishing, and Hostec Events, is pleased to announce several key changes in its management structure.

Effective immediately, Mark Ozawa will take over as President of Accuvia, reporting to Robert Grimes, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mark will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Accuvia’s business which includes consulting, publishing, and events. Since 2005, Ozawa has led the Accuvia Consulting group as Managing Director. Over the past two years, Accuvia Consulting has seen unprecedented growth, domestically and internationally, in the foodservice, hospitality and retail technology industries. “In order to achieve competitive advantage and implement our global growth strategy in all three business units, it was necessary to improve and strengthen our day-to-day structure to optimize our efficiency and enhance our ability to pursue strategic opportunities,” commented Robert Grimes, who will continue as Chairman of Accuvia and remain involved in the overall management of Accuvia.

“Mark’s background and experience in the hospitality industry, combined with his ability to provide strategic direction and solutions for clients, make him an excellent choice for leading Accuvia,” states Robert Grimes. Mark has nearly thirty years of lodging and foodservice experience, and Grimes remarked, “His extensive relationships and industry expertise make him an invaluable asset to our team.” Prior to joining Accuvia Consulting, Mark ran Sceptre, one of the leading lodging reservations and electronic distribution services companies. Mark also ran his own lodging technology consulting practice with clients such as Cendant and Accor. He also spent over 18 years with Westin Hotels & Resorts.

With Ozawa’s move, Tracy Libertino has been promoted to Managing Director of Consulting. Libertino joined Accuvia in January, 2007 as Senior Director, Retail Consulting and Corporate Alliances. Libertino will continue to work directly with clients on high-level strategic, operational, and technology engagements. With her specialization in global marketing, industry analysis, operations, and project management, Tracy will continue her focus on Corporate Alliances that will enhance the Accuvia offerings. “Tracy has been instrumental in expanding our consulting practice into PCI Compliance with the creation of a Risk Management and Security Solutions offering. We are confident in her ability to enhance the growth of the consulting practice in foodservice, retail, and lodging industries as well as continuing to add even more services to our portfolio,” stated Grimes.

Tracy has worked over 20 years in the information technology, retail and foodservice industries starting in in-store and host operations and then developing a consulting career in technology services for many industries. Prior to joining Accuvia, Tracy was Vice President of Corporate Compliance and Quality at Practical Software Solutions, Regional Vice President of Consulting and Infrastructure for Pomeroy Consulting, a division of Pomeroy IT Solutions, and Director of Strategic Software Solutions at Ballantyne Consulting Group. Prior to joining Ballantyne, Tracy was Managing Director at Kyrus Corporation (now Agilysys) overseeing the implementation, training, quality and development of Grocery and Retail Point of Sale, Back Office and Mobility Solutions. Tracy has a long history of implementing fast growth strategies and creating customer centric consulting solutions. “Throughout her career, Tracy has been successful in building strong partner alliances,” commented Grimes, “and we look forward to her contributions as we continue to expand our Consulting practice.”

“These two very important personnel moves underscore Accuvia’s commitment to the industry and confidence in the global opportunities ahead,” stated Robert Grimes.
