ATLANTA | Hotel Concepts, a leading global provider of property management/CRS technology and software solutions for the hospitality industry, today announced the successful implementation of a newly developed interface between its IDPMS Property Management System and ZDirect’s industry leading ZMail® product suite. This interface utilizes guest profiles and associated guest history information stored in the PMS database to develop strategic communications programs, which can be customized to guests’ unique needs and preferences. Routine communications, such as pre-arrival emails, confirmations and customer satisfaction surveys can also be tracked and analyzed, ultimately helping to convert leads and previous guests into loyal, long-term customers.
With a huge reservoir of segmented guest data contained in Hotel Concepts’ IDPMS, the ZMail program can, through the interface, automatically deliver e-marketing communications to an “opt-in” permission-based subscriber list, based on a selected range of criteria. Any hotel using this powerful combination of tools can create highly customized messages and gauge their ROI based on responses generated. The advantages of an e-marketing solution that is tied to a property’s database are numerous. Because it is e-mail based, communications are very inexpensive, as compared to other forms of direct marketing. In addition, the recipients are pre-qualified to receive the message, which greatly increases its effectiveness. ZMail’s “push” one-to-one method of messaging to the guest has been reported as second only to search marketing as the most effective online marketing tactic.

With IDPMS, properties can create, store and view guest profiles containing contact information, guest history and reservation information. Because IDPMS can filter guests based on a wide range of criteria on multiple levels, the interface with ZMail utilizes that segmented information and delivers effective, targeted e-marketing campaigns. “It’s matrix marketing at its best,” stated Weller.
“The interface between IDPMS and ZMail allows hoteliers to identify patterns in guest behavior and then create e-marketing campaigns to those guests or other guests who may have the same preferences,” said Doug Reinmouth, vice president of ZDirect. “Because it is data specific, the success of the messages can be gauged against that data and modified, based upon a property’s desired outcome.”
