EHL students won the 5th Annual IHIF Student Strategy Challenge

At last week's 15th International Hotel Investment Forum, a team of students from the École Hôtelière de Lausanne competed and won the 5th Annual IHIF Student Strategy Challenge. The Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne as well received a cheque for $30, 000 from Questex Media. The contribution signifies Questex Media Group's ongoing support of Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne and their recognition of the contribution the school makes to the hotel industry.

This year challenge was to develop an innovative, feasible and profitable resort concept for the coming decade. The team, comprised of Camille Plumey, Elodie Rodieux and Martine Roth developed a mid-scale urban resort targeting the young Chinese domestic traveler, seeking a European experience in China. Their business model, strategic positioning and financial analysis impressed the jury and audience members.

During lunch on the third and final day of the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) Kerry Gumas, President and CEO and Tess Pearson, Event Director from Questex Media Group presented Mr Rochat, General Director of Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne with a cheque for $30, 000. The contribution signifies Questex Media Group's ongoing support of Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne and their recognition of the contribution the school makes to the hotel industry. The gift will be dedicated to the student scholarship programme.

Students scholarships are key to Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne to continue to attract and provide education to young talent from all around the world who can not necessarily afford a Swiss Education.
Scholarship programme was implemented in 2007 and today the school have helped over 48 students achieve their dreams and receive the greatest gift of all, the gift of education.
