Stephen Rushmore Jr. Promoted to Co-President and COO at HVS

HVS, the leading global hospitality services and consulting organization founded by Steve Rushmore in 1980, announced today that the firm's Board of Directors unanimously voted to promote Stephen Rushmore, Jr. to Co-President and COO – working jointly with his father in this executive capacity.
Stephen joined the firm in 2002 and has been instrumental in growing the company throughout the world and building business applications to better support the needs of HVS clients. He is state-certified as a licensed appraiser, and lectures about hospitality valuation throughout the world.
A 1996 graduate of the Cornell Hotel School, Stephen is married, has two children and resides in Rye, New York. He enjoys "authentic regional eats" and is the founder of Roadfood.com, which was established in 2000. He is also an avid skier and instrument-rated pilot.
At the HVS Partners meeting in Denver, Colorado last week, Stephen gave a heartfelt address, concluding with "I am deeply honored to be part of the HVS organization, and even more honored to be working with our people in the decades to come."
The Board confirmed this appointment as measure to insure that the Rushmore leadership and legacy takes HVS into its next 30 years and beyond.
