A well-rounded wellness professional with more than 15 years of experience as a therapist, naturopath, herbalist, nutritionist and yoga teacher, Phoebe will oversee all aspects of the resort’s full-service spa and wellness offering. Phoebe’s responsibilities will include marketing, management and enhancement of Amatara Resort & Wellness’s comprehensive guest wellness programs. Phoebe joins Amatara Resort & Wellness from Chiva Som – one of the most prestigious destination health spas in Asia, where she spent more than six years. This work offered her a wealth of clinical experience and the privilege of treating large numbers of people from all over the world.

Anabel boasts nearly a decade of experience working within the ultra-luxury hospitality space, including six years at Rosewood Mayakoba’s award-winning Sense spa in the Riviera Maya. During her time at Rosewood Mayakoba, Anabel served as the Spa Operations Supervisor, responsible for recruiting and training spa talent and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the spa. Most recently, she was Spa Manager for Feel Urban Day SPA by Live Aqua in Mexico City, where she shaped the spa’s sales strategy, budget, and social media strategy, in addition to coordinating the day-to-day operation of the space.

Tuerck comes to Montage Laguna Beach from the Canyon Ranch SpaClub in Las Vegas, where she spearheaded the launch of the SpaClub's Comprehensive Foot Health Center and Advanced Facial Program; managed the development and training of the Canyon Ranch SpaClub management team; coordinated the staff training of 19 Canyon Ranch SpaClubs aboard cruise ships worldwide; and served on the design and development teams for many new Canyon Ranch properties. In 1999, she began her tenure with the company as an exercise physiologist and continued to achieve successive promotions to fitness lead, wellness manager and associate spa director, until her appointment as spa director in 2012.
