JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa announced the appointment of Simone Farci as General Manager, effective July 20th 2026. A seasoned luxury hospitality professional with over two decades of international experience, Farci brings a wealth of expertise in luxury resort operations, strategic leadership, and guest experience excellence to one of Marriott International's most distinctive luxury destinations in Europe.
Farci joins JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa from InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace, where he served as General Manager and successfully strengthened the hotel's positioning within Rome's highly competitive luxury hospitality market.
A native of Sardinia, Farci brings his extensive international experience across Europe and the Caribbean to the private Venetian island resort at Isola delle Rose. He holds a degree in Economics along with CHA® (Certified Hotel Administrator) certification from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, and further honed his expertise through a master's in Hospitality Management and a General Manager's Program (GMP) at Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration. He spent more than ten years at IHG Hotels and Resorts leading properties across the world, including General Manager positions in the Caribbean at InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa and Holiday Inn Resort Aruba – Beach Resort & Casino by IGH, where he oversaw large-scale resort operations while driving commercial success and operational excellence.
Throughout his career, Farci has developed extensive expertise in complex resort management, hotel openings, repositioning projects, and organizational transformation. Recognized for his collaborative leadership style, he is passionate about empowering high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, and creating memorable guest experiences that reflect the highest standards of luxury hospitality.
