Element Calgary Airport is the first hotel in Alberta that is built to LEED® standards (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design® ), a prestigious mark of excellence that recognizes sustainability in design, construction and operation. The hotel is built green from the ground up with a sustainable design lead by globally-acclaimed architects Foster+Partners and eco-friendly practices, including water-efficient faucets and fixtures, energy-efficient appliances, 100% recycled cork gym floors, an extensive recycling program, electric vehicle charging stations, and more. Element Calgary Airport has 142 spacious studios and suites, featuring fully-equipped kitchenettes, a flexible living space, the signature Westin Heavenly® Bed and spa-inspired bathrooms with rainfall showerheads. As Starwood"s eco-innovation lab, each room also features a work space and high-tech office and entertainment equipment, with complimentary internet access and a one-stop connectivity solution that allows guests to hook up portable electronics to their in-room TV. Element offers an all natural saline pool that is healthier and more eco-friendly than chlorine, three conference and meeting rooms, a business centre, and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
