Leading accommodation provider Oaks Hotels & Resorts is set to make its debut in Wellington on New Zealand"s North Island, announcing plans to launchOaks Wellington next year.

Slated to open its doors in Q2 2019, the nine-storey tower will present travellers with Oaks Hotels & Resorts" smart simplicity and spacious apartment accommodation in a vibrant new destination, Wellington, which is renowned as New Zealand"s creative, culinary and cultural capital.

Ideally positioned on Courtenay Place in Wellington"s thriving CBD, an extensive multi-million facelift (currently in progress) will transform the former Colonial Motor Company Building site – originally constructed in 1923 – into a contemporary 4.5 star hotel that will be managed by Oaks Hotels & Resorts.

Featuring a striking mirrored façade, Oaks Wellington will comprise 226 sleek Hotel Rooms and One Bedroom Apartments, catering to both business and leisure travellers seeking a contemporary and comfortable base within easy reach of Wellington"s most popular attractions, experiences and venues.

Offering the convenience of Oaks" signature self-contained facilities, One Bedroom Apartments will be equipped with modern kitchenettes, while all rooms will feature a myriad of high-tech amenities, including Smart TVs, which will allow guests to stream directly from their mobile devices; keyless entry by way of smartphones; and high-speed Wi-Fi. A selection of guest rooms will overlook the sparkling bay, while others will provide a stellar vantage point over the bustling city beyond.

Checking in will be seamless, with a self-service kiosk positioned on entry, allowing guests to check in at the touch of a button, and for those who prefer a more personalised experience, friendly staff will be also be on hand to assist.

The tallest building on Courtenay place, the hotel will be anchored by a first-floor restaurant and bar, and home to a collection of thoughtful guest facilities for visitors to enjoy during their stay, including a well-equipped gymnasium, ground floor communal lounge, conferencing venues and underground parking.
