McKibbon Hospitality, an award-winning leader in the hotel development and management industry, and its Charlotte-based partner, Vision Ventures, are pleased to announce that Uptown Charlotte's newest rooftop bar and lounge, Nuvolé Rooftop TwentyTwo, has officially opened its doors to the public.

Nuvolé Rooftop TwentyTwo is a collaboration between McKibbon Hospitality Chairman John McKibbon and Vision Ventures Principal Paul Picarazzi. McKibbon and Picarazzi worked with Asheville, NC-based restaurateur and chef Peter Pollay of Mandara Hospitality Group on the concept and menu creation. Pollay owns Posana Restaurant in Asheville and is consulting with McKibbon on two independent restaurant concepts for Hotel Arras opening in Asheville in 2019.

Nuvolé Rooftop TwentyTwo offers locally and regionally-inspired small plates, handcrafted cocktails, and beer and wine, as well as local art and outstanding city views. An adjacent penthouse suite, Suite TwentyTwo, is available for short-term rentals through McKibbon Hospitality. It includes two bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, a full-kitchen, local art, and generous space for entertaining.

"We are pleased to officially open the doors of Nuvolé Rooftop TwentyTwo and Suite TwentyTwo, which together mark the completion of Uptown Charlotte's newest tower," said McKibbon. "Nuvolé is a place for locals and visitors to unwind and enjoy an upscale yet approachable selection of food and drinks, stunning city views, and an unparalleled selection of local artwork."

Nuvolé Rooftop TwentyTwo boasts 2,700 square feet of indoor space and 2,400 square feet of outdoor space, some of which is covered. Guests can enjoy outdoor fire pits and a variety of seating options including a sleek bar, indoor and outdoor tables, and soft seating. A local art collection selected by McKibbon, Picarazzi, and Liz L. Barr, owner of Art Resources in Asheville, includes pieces by Paul Hastings, Lori Love and Jeff Pender. Nuvolé will also feature local musicians each week.

"Nuvolé Rooftop TwentyTwo has been a vision that John and I have had for quite some time," said Picarazzi. "With the help of a very talented team, we are proud to make our vision a reality and bring this exciting new concept to Charlotte. Nuvolé is the perfect use of the twenty-second floor of this tower, and we look forward to welcoming the public to enjoy it."

The Nuvolé team includes Roy Darling, who brings nearly 20 years of culinary experience, as the executive chef. His cooking is influenced by time spent working in Boston and on Martha's Vineyard as well as his Jamaican heritage. Darling will also oversee the fifth-floor AC Hotel bar and lounge within the tower, which will focus on Mediterranean influences. Nuvolé will be managed by Noah Sheer, who has worked in food and beverage for fine dining restaurants at the Biltmore Estate, Omni Grove Park Inn, and Old Village Post House.

Nuvolé Rooftop TwentyTwo and Suite TwentyTwo are independent concepts located on top of Uptown Charlotte's newest hotel tower, which includes an AC Hotel with 184 rooms on levels 5 -12 of the tower, and a Residence Inn with 116 rooms on levels 14-21.
