Today, Coast Hotels announced that Coast Hilltop Inn (formerly the Hilltop Inn) is the latest addition to join its collection of distinctive West Coast properties. Situated in the heart of Pullman, Wash., the hotel has been a staple of Eastern Washington hospitality for over 40 years, boasting panoramic views of Pullman, Washington State University and the Palouse.
The Wachters moved to Pullman in 1963; in 1979, they acquired the Hilltop Motel & Restaurant, which was built in the 1950s. They have made guests feel welcome with their hometown hospitality ever since. In 1995, the motel's bungalows were torn down and a new 59-room hotel was built next to the existing Hilltop Restaurant, which was reimagined in 2012. In 2013, the Wachter family celebrated the grand opening of a new 54-room addition.
Coast Hilltop Inn features 115 rooms that come complete with a mini fridge, a microwave, an ironing board and iron, a dresser and a luggage rack. The new wing comes with flat-screen HD TVs and a selection of cable channels. In addition, the property boasts a heated indoor swimming pool, a spa, pet-friendly accommodations, a complimentary hot breakfast buffet, gym access to nearby Anytime Fitness, an airport shuttle, free wireless high-speed internet, guest laundry and an office station.
The property offers 2,659 square feet of meeting space, which includes a projector, screen, HDMI cord, audio system and microphone, for any technology needs, as well as a portable whiteboard and easel. The Coast Hilltop restaurant and lounge features American cuisine by Chef Alan Wood, as well as scenic views of Pullman. The hotel also offers all-you-can-eat barbeque catering by Pullman's original Porky's Pit BBQ.
