It is also close to the Classic Center - northeast Georgias premier conference, convention and performing arts center, the Georgia Theatre, and downtown Athens.

We are proud to celebrate the Grand Opening of this ground-up new build for our growing hotel portfolio, which extends our capabilities in property development, McNeill said. Moreover, it builds on our great experience with extended stay properties, including with Hilton as a valued brand partner.

Athens has proven to be an excellent market for McNeill, added Mark Ricketts, the companys president and chief operating officer. This new property features multiple demand drivers, as it serves the local convention and university markets, as well as leisure tourists experiencing the music scene.

The acquisition by McNeill Hotel Investors was facilitated by capital recently secured by McNeill through New York-based Almanac Realty Investors LLC.
