This summer, Málaga's hotel sector will experience a revolution with the launch of the new Higuerón Hotel Málaga, Curio Collection by Hilton. Following a €22 million investment which will see the hotel undergo a full renovation, the hotel will re-open under the Curio Collection by Hilton brand later this year following a conversion from DoubleTree by Hilton.

The renovation will include refreshed common areas, an additional tower with 113 premium rooms, a new conference centre holding up to 1,000 delegates which will be the largest in Málaga, and an extension to the hotel's pool area to include 2,665 meters squared of Mediterranean gardens with Balinese beds, a Jacuzzi and water features.

Art will play a vital role at Higuerón Hotel Málaga Curio Collection by Hilton, as the hotel will boast its own collection of modern art. Throughout the year, temporary exhibitions will be available by the most noteworthy artists from Málaga and across Spain.

The new project will continue to commit to sustainability and developing gastronomy in accordance with the principles of ecology. A firm commitment that has already gained the hotel recognition for its aquaponics system.

Renowned North American architect and University of Berkeley professor Robin Chiang, is behind the project design, incorporating a made-to-measure avant-garde concept using wood and iron as the main architectural components.
