Val d'Isere Ski Area — Photo by Airelles Collection

The new hotel is set in the center of Val d'Isère at the base of the slopes, which Airelles says makes it the only luxury hotel in the area with ski-in / ski-out access. Designed as a reinterpretation of a medieval-inspired castle, the hotel will have 41 keys, including nine suites and five private penthouses with their own dedicated butler. Each room will have a private balcony or terrace with views of the slopes or village and will be individually appointed with antique furniture and art.

Also on property will be the largest spa in Val d'Isère, Airelles says, which will be created in partnership with the skincare and cosmetic brand Guerlain. Facilities will include a swimming pool, Hammam, sauna, jacuzzi, two sensory showers, a healthy bar serving a range of teas and drinks inspired by a traditional French Echoppe, and a fitness center with its own coach. The spa will also have six well-being cabins, including "Le Boudoir," a cabin designed specifically for manicures and pedicures.
