Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has signed a franchise agreement with PPI Polskie Projekty Inwestycyjne Sp. z o.o. S.K.A., a wholly owned subsidiary of Satoria Group, to open the 132-guest-room Hilton Garden Inn Torun Old Town. Hilton Garden Inn Torun Old Town will be managed by VHM Hotel Management and situated in the heart of the city's Old Town, an UNESCO World Heritage site.

Drawn by the city's gothic architecture and cobbled market streets, millions of visitors flock to Torun each year. The city is home to more than 30,000 students of Copernicus University and prides itself as the birthplace of the famous astronomer of the same name. Torun is also a regional business hub, with several production plants in the city's surrounding area, including a major Sharp and Blaupunkt factory (UMC Poland).

Hilton Garden Inn Torun Old Town will see the redevelopment of a former brewery and tenement building into an upscale and affordable hotel, complete with 132 guest rooms, business and fitness centres, restaurant and bar.

Hilton Garden Inn Torun Old Town will be located at Piernikarska 10, 87-100 Torun. It joins more than 100 Hilton Garden Inn hotels trading or under development across Europe.
