The hotel interiors are the work of Swedish designer, Magnus Ehrland. Tapping into the local history and Moorish influence on the island, Ehrland has incorporated the use of geometric motifs throughout the design. takes its name from an Arabic term for a special clay oven, hinting at possible techniques used in the restaurant. It also has a secondary meaning tying in the history of the neighborhood: it is where ancient craftsmen worked large stone vessels serving as part of the leather tannery process. Overlooking the Parc, the light filled restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, while all the food and beverage options throughout the hotel are overseen by esteemed Chef Santi Taura in cooperation with Chef Gonzalo Padin.
