Legacy Ventures has completed a $5 million renovation of the 110-room Glenn Hotel, Autograph Collection, Atlanta's first boutique hotel. The 12-month project, designed by Sims Patrick Studio, along with brand strategy and positioning insight from Brand Verve, has refreshed the Glenn with a distinctly Southern generosity of spirit and a well-mannered sense of style, emphasizing the Glenn's warm and genteel level of hospitality. The project was managed and execu ted by Legacy Ventures, the original developers of the hotel, and included all guestrooms and public spaces. Built in 1923 as an office building, Legacy Ventures' adaptive reuse of the historic property in 2006 preserved the Glenn's architectural elements and obtained its listing on the National Register of Historic Places. Owned by local private-equity firm, Tripoli Management, and managed by Legacy Ventures, the hotel is uniquely situated directly adjacent to Atlanta's State Farm Arena and Mercedes-Benz Stadium, as well as the Georgia World Congress Center and Centennial Olympic Park.

The redesigned entries, living and dining areas of the hotel invite guests to feel at home with warm touches of custom millwork, intimate spaces, and the dark, lush colors of Atlanta's forested landscape. Throughout the hotel, a lion motif appears frequently, including guest room door knockers and artwork, honoring the thirty-nine carved stone lion heads adorning the buildi ng's historic cornice. These elements support the Glenn's new branding as the "Pride of Atlanta" and you're welcomed to the hotel with the phrase "There Lies a Lion in Every Southern Heart." Meeting rooms have been renamed to honor notable female Southern authors whose works can be found on bookshelves throughout the hotel.

The hotel's acclaimed restaurant, Glenn's Kitchen, which serves up a Southern, "from scratch" menu, also features a completely redesigned interior, with a design that recalls the intimacy of supper on a Southern porch: white-washed brick, traditional shiplap, angled shutters, and caned accents. The renovation has also reimagined the Glenn's rooftop venue, SkyLounge, as a comfortable yet elegant veranda with its renowned panoramic views of the Atlanta skyline. An upgraded removable enclosure ensures the SkyLounge can be enjoyed in style and comfort regardless of the weather. A boxwood adorned wall evokes a private rooftop garden and a cloistered retreat. "The Glenn has a truly bespoke and intricate design - every detail throughout the design was curated with the guest's experience and sense of place in mind," said Legacy Ventures' Director of Design & Construction, Akash Gaur. "Guests will feel and experience familial Southern hospitality, not want to leave and be eager to return."
