The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel has several exciting reasons to welcome guests anew as it reopened. Celebrating a storied past, the recently completed renovation incorporates excellently updated guest rooms, a chic, modern lobby and a nod to a buoyant San Francisco emerging post COVID-19. As a hotel that was originally designed for splendor, the all-new Clift Royal Sonesta has adapted to the new age in which it will be operating.

Ready to once again serve as a beloved respite for guests from near and far, The Clift Royal Sonesta's redesign mindfully highlights the iconic and historic nature of the property, while featuring tech forward additions. Maintaining the original inspiration from the Panama-Pacific International Exposition of 1915, the remodeled guest rooms feature STAYCAST™ powered by Google Chromecast, the meeting spaces provide multiple 98" UHD displays with integrated sound systems and DirectTV access, and most importantly, energy saving environment controls have been installed to further reduce carbon footprint. Select rooms also feature a Peloton for in-room fitness experiences.

Renovations also included upgrades to the Redwood Room, preserving its relic but with a refresh to dining and handcrafted cocktails. Collaborative meeting and event space will delight guests later this summer. The introduction of a new restaurant and café, Fredericks and completion of the façade work on the exterior of the building are also forthcoming. Classic and contemporary, The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel San Francisco provides a wide array of amenities and services that will surely make it one of the most enjoyable hotel stays in the Bay Area and beyond.

Sonesta introduced Stay Safe with Sonesta last year, a program created to take the company's standards on safe and clean hotels to the next level in response to COVID-19. Sonesta cares deeply about the health and well-being of guests and employees. Working with Ecolab Inc., a leading provider of cleaning and disinfecting solutions for the hospitality industry, the Stay Safe with Sonesta program was designed to meet or exceed applicable CDC and/or governmental requirements and guidance related to the Coronavirus pandemic. The program continues to evolve as we revise protocols to follow updated guidance from public health authorities and maintain the most relevant levels of protection for guests and employees.
