Following a six-month renovation, the Limelight Hotel Aspen will welcome guests at the start of the 2021/22 ski season in November of 2021. The beloved hotel in the heart of Aspen next to Wagner Park is currently undergoing a top-to-bottom refresh, which includes public spaces such as the Limelight Lounge, conference room, lobby, and bar, as well as all 126 guestrooms and suites and en-suite baths. Upgrades and improvements include a new arrival experience with the relocation of the reception desk and surrounding retail space, the addition of a Kids Club area, expanded seating for dining, as well as a relocation of the stage area in the Lounge to better accommodate events.

Stonehill Taylor, a New York City-based luxury design firm, is the team behind this project and was also responsible for designing the Limelight Hotel Snowmass, which opened in late 2018. There is also a Limelight Hotel Ketchum in Idaho, which opened in late 2016. Similar to these properties, the Limelight Aspen's aesthetic is shaped by the setting's past and present. The design is an ode to Aspen's legacy as a center of innovation, referencing the discovery of silver and the heritage of skiing in the idyllic mountain town. The renovation aims to capture the spirit of an active mountain and amplify the brand as "homebase in the places you want to explore" with an emphasis on embracing the local community through its welcoming lounge and active programming.
