his latest property adds to the growing Ascott portfolio, marking the hospitality group's 18th property in Singapore.
The Ascott Limited (Ascott), a member of CapitaLand Investment, has announced the opening of Citadines Connect Rochester Singapore, the group's 7th Citadines property in Singapore. This opening closely follows the launch of its flagship property, Citadines Raffles Place Singapore, as well as the global unveil of a refreshed Citadines brand in October 2022. Located at the heart of the country's life science, education and dining hub at Rochester Park, Citadines Connect Rochester Singapore offers guests the best of city living, while providing opportunities to live, work and play in an immersive environment that combines urban scape with lush greenery.
An integrated development at the newly built Rochester Commons, Citadines Connect Rochester Singapore occupies four levels (levels 4 to 7) of the building, with its main lobby located on level two. Conveniently situated near the Buona Vista (5-min) and one-north MRT (13-min) stations, Citadines Connect Rochester Singapore is strategically positioned as a base to explore the country's life science, education, and dining hub. With numerous dining and entertainment options ranging from restaurants within the neighbouring conservation bungalows, to Timber+ at one north, Holland Village and Star Vista (Theatre), Citadines Connect Rochester Singapore is also within the vicinity of well-known parks and sights like the Rail Corridor, The Green Corridor, Kent Ridge Park, Haw Par Villa and the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Designed for the traveller who wants to stay connected and productive while on the road, its wide range of smart services and amenities provide guests with a comfortable and productive space to work, rest and play.
The multi-faceted property with 135 rooms caters to both short and long stays and is ideal for business travellers as well as serving the lodging and hospitality needs of companies and institutes of higher learning in the Buona Vista, one-north and Kent Ridge enclave. The property features a mix of studio units, including premier units with a well-equipped kitchenette and washer-dryer as well as deluxe units with garden access. Facilities at the property include a swimming pool as well as a 24-hour gymnasium. A 'Refresh & Recharge' lounge provides an area of respite for guests to rest and relax should they arrive prior to their check-in time or are expecting a late departure.
Building on the brand's ethos to create an environment to enable live, work, and play, the adjoining Shared Executive Learning Centre, Catapult, a first of its kind in Southeast Asia, provides guests with the opportunity to sign up for courses as well as a shared space to work and learn in an experiential and immersive way, equipped with the latest learning technologies. Winding down to the day, guests can retreat to the Garden Sanctuary or the Garden Terrace, where nature unfolds in all its glory to calm the mind and soothe the tired soul. There is also a food and beverage tenant available within the property.
Guests at Citadines Connect Rochester Singapore can look forward to a slew of technology enabled services; such as ARIA (Ascott Robotic Intelligent Assistant) that can perform a variety of tasks such as delivery of amenities upon request. The rooms are also equipped with energy saving smart occupancy sensors to automatically switch off the lights if it is detected to be unoccupied. This is in line with our commitment under Ascott CARES (Community, Alliance, Respect, Environment and Supply Chain); ensuring that we leave a positive impact on the planet and its people through our actions.
Guests who are members of Ascott's loyalty programme, Ascott Star Rewards (ASR), will also be able to make their reservations, perform self-check-in and check-out, request for services, manage their membership, make contactless payment conveniently and provide feedback via the Discover ASR mobile app. They can earn additional ASR points if they opt out of housekeeping service as part of Ascott's Go Green initiative.

As the second most traded commodity and most popular beverage globally, coffee is the universal language that brings guests of Citadines together. Design and Architecture
The property's interior was thoughtfully designed by Ascott's Product & Technical Services in house design team. Using various tropical plants and foliage motifs as the design inspiration across all spaces, the reception wall features preserved moss and saga seeds with monochrome back printed fluted glass images of dew drops and monstera leaves while foliage pattern run along the corridor carpet into rooms that feature a monochrome banana leaf pattern above the bedhead - accentuating a single cohesive collage of tropicality.
The level 2 lobby ceiling artwork '宾至如归' (meaning 'feeling at home') by Hong Zhu An is delicately hung from the ceiling at Citadines Connect Rochester Singapore. It imbues the property lobby with a sense of warmth and thoughtful hospitality, welcoming guests with a feel of home. Smaller characters, laser-cut inside large metal shapes, hint at a deeper meaning in the couplet, and reveal the artist's long-honed and internationally recognised calligraphic skills. Its layered hanging allows the installation to evolve depending on the viewer's point of view. Whether you are on the move or sitting by the lobby, guests will see a change from legible to fully abstract, illustrating the depth and complexity found in calligraphy.
Citadines Connect Rochester Singapore is now open and available for bookings. To mark its launch, the property is offering an opening special of 20% savings for bookings and stays till 30 June 2023.
