Richard RoyRoy, a seasoned hospitality executive with a background spanning over 25 years, served as hotel manager for the resort since 2007, and as acting general manager for the past nine months. Now, in his new official role, Roy will oversee daily operations, from sales and marketing performance to guest services and more. Before joining the 481-room Westin Resort, Aruba, Roy served as hotel manager at The Westin La Cantera Resort in San Antonio, Texas, and director of operations at The Westin Buckhead Atlanta. Roy began his nearly 10-year career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts as director of operations and director of food and beverage at the Sheraton Music City Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. Also in Nashville, Roy held positions with Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and spent over fifteen years with Gaylord Entertainment.
