Jorge Gutierrez named General Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Tuxtla Gutierrez in Chiapas
Hilton Worldwide today announced that Jorge Gutierrez has been appointed General Manager of the soon-to-open Hilton Garden Inn Tuxtla Gutierrez and will report to Daniel Hughes, senior vice president, operations, Caribbean, Mexico, and Latin America, Hilton Worldwide. Gutierrez most recently served as general manager of the Hilton Villahermosa & Conference Center where he opened the property and handled hotel operations for the past five years. With over 20 years of hospitality experience, Gutierrez was first introduced to the tourism industry when serving in operational roles including front office manager, director of rooms and resident manager for international hotel companies including Hyatt Corporation and Starwood Hotels in Mexico. In 1999 he joined Hilton Worldwide where he managed the conversion of the Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort and served as general manager. Throughout his career, Gutierrez also gained significant experience in hotel openings. Gutierrez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from Universidad Hispano Mexicana in Mexico City.
